Dress Code

Please feel free to copy our Dress Code to send along to your guests. Our dress code is strictly enforced, and we want your guests to feel comfortable when attending functions at Oakbrook Golf & Country Club. Thank you for your understanding!


Oakbrook Golf & Country Club's Dress Code Policy

Appropriate attire, in keeping with the season and function, must be worn in and around the clubhouse and golf course at all times. You, as the host, are responsible for insuring that your guests are properly attired.

The following garments are not acceptable:

  • Jeans of any type
  • Cutoffs
  • Sweat Suits
  • Frayed Pants
  • T-Shirts
  • Tank Tops
  • Strapless Tops
  • Bare Midriff

No Exceptions will be permitted.



Revised/Trial Dress Code

April 1, 2008 – September 30, 2008


The following items are prohibited:


Men

  • Tank Tops
  • "T" Shirts (undershirt or otherwise)
  • Shirts without Collars
  • Cut-offs, any pant with "frayed" hems
  • Sweatpants
  • Sweater or Plain Sweatshirt (a shirt with a collar is required underneath to comply)
  • *Jeans/Denim of any color*(see revision below)
  • Spandex and Exercise Wear
  • Short Shorts (must be mid-thigh in length)

Women

  • Shirts with neither sleeve nor collar
  • "T" Shirts
  • Halter Tops
  • Cut-offs, any pant with "frayed" hems
  • Tops and/or bottoms which allow bare midriff
  • Short Shorts (must be mid-thigh in length)
  • Spandex and Exercise Wear
  • *Jeans/Denim of any color*(see revision below)
  • Sweater or Plain Sweatshirt (a shirt with a collar is required underneath to comply)
  • Sweatpants

Clubhouse: Golf hats and visors may not be worn by gentlemen in the Clubhouse.


Golf Course: All items listed above are also prohibited on the golf course. Junior golfers are restricted to the same attire. This code applies to all ages and will be enforced in the Clubhouse, dining room, and on the golf course for all members and their guests. The immediate area of the Pro-Shop is under the discretion of the Golf Professional. Certain items sold in the Pro-Shop may not conform to the above list and will not be allowed on the premises. The Club Manager, Golf Professional or personnel acting on their behalf have complete authority to enforce this code.


*Lounge*: Denim/jeans are allowed in the Lounge and the adjoining Card Room only. Denim/jeans must be tasteful in style with no holes, tears or fraying at any hem. For all men, women, and children denim/jeans must be fitting, no baggy or "sagging" pants or visible midriffs will be tolerated.


Guests: Members are responsible and accountable for the attire of their guests. Members must sign guests in at the lounge or main office.
